We are thrilled to announce that the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County, Inc. (DAP) has been named the 2025 Community Organization of the Year by The Community’s Foundation (TCF)! This award honors community organizations that deliver services to our neighbors, with professionalism and thoughtful care.
TCF Interim President Lauren Sustersic shared, “TCF’s Board has been particularly grateful for your targeted efforts to provide essential services to survivors of abuse and their children through the 24/7 hotline, emergency safe shelter, counseling and legal advocacy. As the sole provider exclusively serving victims of domestic violence in Delaware County, your work has a profound impact in our community.”
DAP Executive Director Michelle Brown stated, “We are deeply grateful to be recognized by TCF’s Board of Directors. This award is a testament to the work of our dedicated advocates, staff, and volunteers, and the support of our donors and partners. As we celebrate this honor, we also look ahead—to expanding our services, reaching more survivors, and ensuring that no one in our community faces domestic abuse alone.”
DAP will be presented with this award at TCF’s 2025 Community Celebration, at Springfield Country Club on Tuesday, April 29th.
TCF, which is celebrating their 40th anniversary, has spent four decades strengthening the Delaware County community through education, empowerment, and support.
